Which settings give the most FPS?
Pick a game. Every measured setting is ranked by the FPS it gives back, with what it does to the picture, how sure we are and where the number came from.
Only games with at least one published measurement appear here. We left out games where no one has measured individual settings (Counter-Strike 2, Rust, Helldivers 2 and others), rather than guess.

These sources report the cost of raising a setting. A 32% cost is not a 32% gain (it is about 47%), so we never mix the two lists.

FAQ
Which graphics setting gives the most FPS?
It depends on the game, which is why this page ranks them per game. Shadows and global illumination or ambient occlusion are usually the biggest, while texture quality usually costs memory rather than frame rate.
Why are some games missing?
We only list games where someone has published a measured result for individual settings. For Counter-Strike 2, Rust, Helldivers 2 and others we found none we trust, so they are left out instead of guessed.
Why are gains and costs listed separately?
Sources report either the FPS gained by lowering a setting or the FPS lost by raising it. A 32% cost works out as roughly a 47% gain, so mixing them would mislead.
Do FPS booster apps do any of this?
No. We do not recommend booster apps. Everything here is a setting inside the game, free to change.
