FAQ

How do you work out the percentage?

We take the September 2026 Steam Hardware & Software Survey, match each graphics card to the GamerKit performance index, and add up the share of gamers on cards slower than yours. We can rate most desktop and laptop cards, but not every old or integrated chip, so the figure is the share of those gamers your card beats.

Is the Steam survey representative of all gamers?

It covers Steam users who opt in to the survey, which is a large sample of PC gamers but not everyone. It does not include console players or people who do not use Steam.

Is this a benchmark?

No. It uses our performance index, calibrated against published results, so treat it as an estimate and use it to compare, not to settle an argument.
